
KERRY PALEJS - CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Kerry Palejs (pronounced Pal-ays) was appointed to the role of CEO at MAS National in 2008. After six years as an Executive Manager within MAS National, Kerry is well versed in the intricacies of what it takes to successfully lead an AAC in the current social/ political climate.
Prior to this, Kerry gained extensive experience in the vocational education and employment services sectors, including senior management roles in two Group Training Organisations, two different RTOs, and various JobNetwork members and Disability Services. She has served as a Director on the Board of Learning Network Australia, and Peckys – a disability day-service located in the western suburbs of Sydney.
Kerry has a degree in Adult Education, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and is currently undertaking a Masters in Business Leadership.
In 2008 MAS National celebrated its tenth birthday, starting the celebrations with an all-staff conference at the Novotel Homebush. Kerry used this opportunity to share with the staff the vision she has for MAS National for the next decade: the continued growth of the business based on exceeding customer expectations and to be known throughout the industry as the leading provider of Australian Apprenticeship Services.
MICHAEL MORRIS - GENERAL MANAGER : BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Michael (MEd BEd DipTeach) has worked in the education and training sector for over 25 years, working as a teacher and school principal and more recently specialising in vocational education and training.
As the General Manager Business Development of MAS National, Michael works with employers in a range of industries to identify the potential benefits of apprenticeships and traineeships and assisting them to implement training programs into their organisations.
SANDY SPANOS - MANAGER: CLAIMS PROCESSING UNIT
Sandy has now been part of MAS National’s Claims Processing Unit team for over two years. It has been her first venture into the AAC world, with all of her previous experience gained in the commercial sector, mainly in finance.
As the Manager of the Claims Processing Unit, Sandy manages all facets of the Claims Processing Team, from rostering to the equal distribution of daily tasks.
Sandy sees the Claims Processing Unit as a diverse, dynamic area of MAS National – also commonly referred to as the “engine room". Based in Preston, Melbourne, the Claims Processing team manages the life of a file from inception through to completion, with team members all working together like a cog in a well-oiled machine.

01 Jul 2010 : As part of the Federal Government's Kickstart Mentoring Initiative, MAS National will now be providing additional support for apprentices aged 19 years or younger in skill shortage occupations.
12 May 2010 : The Treasurer, Wayne Swan, tonight announced that the Apprentice Kickstart Bonus introduced last summer would be reintroduced as the Australian Apprentice Kickstart Extension. This incentive effectively triples the first year incentive payment to small and medium-sized employers who put on a new young apprentice in a skills shortage trade between now and 12 November 2010.
23 Dec 2009 : As part of their Community Giving Program, MAS National has recently provided grants to the Leeton-Narrandera LYNKS program and Newman Senior Technical College.
